Jose you have a powerful and thought provoking voice. Thank you for taking the lead in the discussion regarding teacher voice. I agree that “speaking out and speaking up” is integral and “the way we invest in our voices matters in a huge way.” Yes, we have to work “harder worker for the kids” and do “this with students and for students.” When teachers have a “seat at the table,” education for all children will improve. You are a courageous leader of teachers. Thank you. p.s. I love making bulletin boards and if I ever find myself at your school I’ll make one for you :)

Teacher voice means sticking one’s neck out, taking a risk, being courageous. Perhaps I’m more stupid and näive than courageous, but, I find that many teachers in their respective places of employ aren’t willing to be courageous.
