Hi Jose,

Do you have a link or some data for

"The modal experience in years for teachers now is 1 (!) whereas in the mid-80s was 15 (!!!!)" ?

I was in a discussion last night about teachers and teaching quality and one of my colleagues said something that insinuated that all teachers get a job, become entrenched at that school, and despite her "best efforts," as a teacher-coach, never get any better and never leave. I pointed out that we lose 50% of our profession within their first five years, but I didn't have any data or reference point and she scoffed at the idea. I'm pretty sure I'm right (or in the ballpark), but I'd like to send her some studies/data/links.
